Product description
With the re-emergence of the S 661, Thonet returns to Günter Eberle's award-winning design from the early 1950s in various versions. The chair's versatility and efficient use of material make it an ideal all-round solution for dining rooms and kitchens, living rooms and home offices, as well as public spaces such as restaurants and waiting rooms. The molded plywood seat shell showcases the natural material, whether elegant walnut, warm oak, or natural or stained beech. The steel tubular frame is available in a chrome-plated or powder-coated version. Despite the minimalist shape and use of materials, the visible wood grain and soft curves give the chair a homely look and give it a unique presence in the room. S 661 combines clear lines with a precise contour. The combination of materials, in this case molded plywood and steel tubing, is typical of Thonet.
