After his K8 side table, Wolfgang Hartauer developed a new concept for Tecta of a large folding table: LOT, which was presented at imm 2017.
"I was looking for a table that had a "flexible" side - that's why it has a semicircular shape" - says Hartauer. “At the same time, I wanted to have a table that could be extended or hidden as needed. That's why there was a folding mechanism in the plans.” Hartauer named his table "Lot" in reference to the German word for perpendicular.
At the same time, his foldable table plays with geometry: a semicircle rotated 90 degrees, creating a support for the foldable element. Hartauer's idea: to create movement that can be read in the furniture. LOT is universal: it can be used both as a dining table and a work table.
