Stem is an open bookcase with striped die-cast aluminum uprights, oak veneer shelves and stiening structured perforated sheet metal backs. Stem is a modular shelving system.
Captivated by puzzle boxes and overlapping games, Philippe Nigro quickly picked up on Manerba's "seed": the design of a shelving unit designed specifically for contemporary workspaces.
Philippe Nigro designs the Stem shelving unit, starting from from the pragmatic analysis of Manerba's "know how" and the idea of combining simple basics: three elements - columns, metal traverses and shelves. Their combination gives rise to the "infinity system". Its structure with columns with unexpectedly numerous cross-sections and materials (primarily solid wood) are the main features of this system, which is created as a microarchitecture: it develops in solid modules or better-structured systems, like the leaves of the Trunk. The name comes from this main feature.
Clean, soft and friendly lines, as it is the Manerba office, define this system characterized by infinite modularity, as well as a visual solidity that can evolve in height and width, to identify professional space and develop ideas. It is ideal for separating, combining, organizing, dividing and limiting.
Manerba Boutique is a work and living space where dimensions, materials and finishes are thought out and tailored to individual needs in cooperation with architects and clients.
