The Mirra 2 stool provides dynamic support in any setting where sitting and standing colleagues benefit from being at the same eye level. With surfaces designed to respond to the slightest human movement and simple, intuitive adjustments for a precise fit, the Mirra 2 stools combine instant comfort and personalized ergonomics in one refined design.
Ten years after the introduction of the Mirra chair – during which over 1.5 million chairs were sold - Studio 7.5's designers felt it was time to evaluate and, if necessary, rethink their original design. First, they noted, work is evolving. People move, and the more they move, the more they need support that moves with them.
Due to the new, agile way in which people work today, designers found that the idea of a highly customized chair personal is still out of date valid. While Studio 7.5 retained the athletic character and intuitive customizations of the original, it improved the material and form of that idea in virtually every aspect of Mirra 2.
Using full-size models, Studio 7.5 designers test the validity of the design and its component parts. With Mirra 2, every element has been given a real-world touch treatment until the most elegant solutions emerge.
Building on the legacy of the first office chair developed from the ground up with environmental responsibility in mind, Mirra 2 brings responsible design forward , increasing the use and reuse of materials. When redesigning Mirra, as in all of their work, Studio 7.5 was guided by the principle: "every little bit counts." This means it is essential to carefully inspect each element to use as little material as possible while improving efficiency.
