Charles Pollock's 1963 executive chair features what he referred to as "rim technology" - the use of a single aluminum band around the perimeter of the chair to hold the design together, structurally and visually. Nearly 50 years after its introduction, the Pollock chair still exudes timeless elegance.
FEATURES
The 1965 Charles Pollock Executive Chair, now considered one of Knoll's most memorable designs, features an aluminum rim that supports the chair both structurally and visually. Classic KnollStudio piece. Scaled for convenience.
CONSTRUCTION
Outer shell: black textured polypropylene.
Frame: Extruded aluminum with polished chrome or black anodized finish. A steel support plate welded to the frame extends across the width of the seat cushion. Upholstery: multi-density urethane foam, quilted details.
Arms: seamless black phenolic material.
The color of the edges corresponds to the color of the base (chrome or black).
FINISHES
Black volo leather.
