Ethimo's design experience and Luca Nichetto's creativity come together to create an extraordinary, evocative lighting accessory whose sharp, elegant appearance is intended to generate new moods in outdoor lighting. LUCERNA is a new portable, rechargeable outdoor lamp from Ethimo. Thanks to a perfectly waterproof housing containing LEDs, battery and charging system, and a blown glass diffuser, Lucerna is a lantern with a contemporary character and a "nomadic" spirit. It can be easily moved and placed on the floor, on a table or hung, depending on where it is used.
A special ring on the top of the lamp serves as a convenient handle or a decorative hook to hang above or on the wall. Lucerna is available both in a portable, rechargeable version with built-in batteries and a removable cable, and with a fixed power cable. The anodized metal section can have a brushed steel or brass finish, while the glass is available in three refined, delicate colors: smoke, anthracite and amber.
Lucerne is an incredibly versatile design object that transcends its original function. Created as an element of outdoor lighting, it is also perfect as a decorative item in gardens and terraces, thanks to its amazing lighting effects. The alfalfa, or oil lamp, was the most common form of lighting in Roman times, serving as a functional light that could be easily set up and moved from one room to another, as well as used to convey messages. Lucerna is a modern "message carrier", suggesting a new way to illuminate and enhance today's outdoor locations.
