Funivia Outdoor shows the potential of this open platform, which hosts products already included in Artemida collections. It is a sign of dialogue and shared values among architects designing for Artemida, who adopt common principles expressed in different languages, according to the skills of each individual designer. Thanks to these properties, Funivia has evolved into a system capable of meeting our lighting needs also outdoors. Its cable can build structures that work in outdoor spaces, delivering professional light where it was previously impossible.
Funivia is a functional network of material and immaterial relationships that is free and inclusive and can evolve through the cooperation of its elements. It starts with what is essential, in the spirit of "alpinism", discovering a new level of freedom of light in spaces, now both inside and outside.
Rope, cable supplying energy and nails, elements used for fastening in the space, provide the basis for going far beyond the limitations imposed by the rigidity of standard systems. A cable with a special minimum cross-section that can withstand mechanical stress and thermal stress is the energy distribution channel of the system. It can operate from one power supply indefinitely, and the only limitation is the power installed along its length.
The light elements are connected to the cable using a "bridge" element, which is a node of the immaterial BLL signal network through which all devices can communicate with Artemida application. Funivia is inclusive, including products that already exist; The cable connection module is a universal system that translates energy into the "Esperanto" of light.
