Needoo is a new project that puts the environment first. Consisting of a bollard and three different poles, it provides perfectly controlled light that respects nature, illuminating only what is absolutely necessary. There is a bird shelter at the top of the pole. The lamp head is placed under the socket and consists of a plate that covers the light and creates a surface on which small animals can rest. It combines an approach that takes into account the perceptual needs of people and animals and talks about respect and sharing of spaces. Birds must be able to navigate using their natural reference points, which are the night sky with stars and the moon. Needoo's controlled light does not disturb this perception and does not blind you. Carefully designed optics, their arrangement, light quality and light control using integrated sensors help ensure harmonious coexistence of humans and nature, respecting the circadian rhythms of each species and a positive energy balance. The interaction between light, humans and nature is based on intelligent programming that calibrates light intensity based on presence, using a gradual progression that does not create disturbing contrasts. Needoo is not only an external lighting system, but above all a place ready to welcome biological diversity. Needoo is the ideal system for helping animals in modern spaces, offering adequate shelter in parks to help repopulate urban areas with a variety of species, enriching our quality of life. As numerous studies indicate, the lack of nesting places is one of the causes of biodiversity loss. Needoo is intended to be a small but practical step, an action that will help reverse this disturbing trend. The Needoo project has partnered with Birdlife Swisse in all aspects related to the conservation of different species.
