Bollicosa Nautilus has the same blown glass ball as Bollicosa indoor, with a distinctive sparkling surface created by an artisan blowing process; the natural irregularities make the material rough and dull and give it a three-dimensional quality that gives it the appearance of petrified stone to the naked eye. The outdoor version surrounds the diffuser with a net of neutral colored polypropylene string, with knots in contrasting colors, reminiscent of the hand-woven furniture from the Cassina outdoor collection.
