Heligoland is an efficient and perfectly controlled lighting principle that applies to incremental, compact and optimized geometry, capable of throwing good light into any space. The patented refractive optics technology has been miniaturized and developed according to a hexagonal grid that maximizes the density of the emitted light flux. The hexagonal geometry allows you to place elements next to each other without wasting space, following the shape of a honeycomb.
This model is inspired by nature and the intelligence of bees. The geometry allows for free, linear or radial-centric growth, as in the first versions of Heligoland. Splitting the power of the LEDs helps ensure good dissipation by reducing the overall surface area. At the same time, various optical cells work together to achieve a high light output, which is expressed through perfectly uniform light emission. The extremely compact size and hexagonal geometry have been combined to guarantee the elimination of the multi-shadow effect.
The hexagonal screen, which is essential for visual comfort as it prevents glare, unfolds around a circular lens that captures 100% of the flux emitted by the LED and controls it. The result is a very small optical engine with a thickness of only 12.5 mm, which becomes a universal principle of light applicable in infinite situations.
Helgoland has an optimized design also in terms of the structure of the different versions.
The light engine is actually a piece that can be combined with various accessories for ceiling or recess mounting, with or without frame, or with an adjustable arm that connects it to other systems and tracks in the collection, such as Sylt. Minimal dimensions allow it to be adapted to any environment at any time. Heligoland is sustainable in terms of material reduction, total surface area, weight, optimized components, responsible energy use with an efficiency of up to 150 lm/W.
