The BELLINGEN battery lamp celebrates the beauty of sustainable wood in an organic form. Using camphor laurel sourced locally from Bellingen County, this beautiful hardwood has delicate layers of rich, multi-colored wood grains that are fragrant and reminiscent of the sharp and clean scent of camphor when the leaves are crushed. Its wood is naturally antibacterial due to the natural oils contained in the wood, which reduces the growth of microorganisms.
This sustainably sourced hardwood is prepared and handcrafted by local artisans who are passionate about restoring balance to the local ecosystem through sustainable practices . This is visible at every stage of the wood harvesting, drying, turning and finishing process.
BELLINGEN is finished with natural satin oil, making the lamp body waterproof and dirt-resistant. Each piece is unique and celebrates the imperfection of wood, as nature intended. Choose between a handmade cotton lampshade or a hand-blown glass shade.
