The great Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer once said of his work: “I am not attracted to a right angle or a straight line. Rigid, flexible, man-made. What really attracts me is the free, sensual curves. The curve I see on the winding course of our rivers, on the clouds in the sky, on the body of your favorite woman. The universe is made entirely of curves.” Inspired to pay homage to one of the founders of modern architecture, designer Dodo Arslan created a series of lamps called "Oscar", which pay homage by adopting Niemeyer's characteristic sensual curves. The Oscar table lamp consists of a glass ball delicately supported by curved brass.
