Trenta is a lamp made in a numbered and limited edition that celebrates the light bulb and the first thirty "light years" of Catellani & Smith. When Enzo Catellani decided to found Catellani & Smith in 1989, all he had in mind was the light bulb. “A lamp does not produce light, only a light bulb. The light bulb gives shape to this light,” he said many times. Over the last thirty years, the light bulb has undergone various transformations, until its latest evolution - the LED, whose enormous potential was immediately recognized by Enzo Catellani. Thanks to his work, new, previously unimaginable forms were created. This is how Trenta was born; a lamp that celebrates the light bulb, new technologies and the first thirty "light years" of Catellani & Smith. When held in your hands, the lit Trenta discovers its magical power. Imagine that you can now illuminate places that you couldn't before, screw them to a pedestal or simply place them where otherwise there would only be darkness. Trenta is here, in your home, waiting for you to remember her and what she is capable of. Meanwhile, he puts on quite a show. She knows she is important. He knows it is an homage to the shape of light. After being presented at the Euroluce Lighting exhibition in April 2019, Trenta goes into production in a limited and numbered edition (500 pieces). This is a unique item, made in a numbered, limited edition. A numbered, limited edition is an edition in a limited number of copies, in this case 500 pieces, which are numbered in progressive order, and the number is located on a permanent label placed under the lamp base. The uniqueness of each lamp is guaranteed by a certificate of authenticity, the original of which was signed by Enzo Catellani. Materials and colors: borosilicate glass bulb with brass cover (unfinished) with magnetic closure; E27 screw made of solid brass; plinth made of oxidized and treated iron.
