For many years, Atollo has no longer been a lamp, or rather it is no longer just a lamp. It has become a myth, an icon: one of the most famous symbols of Italian design in the world, one of the few products that people recognize and call by their own name. Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977, it was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and has since become part of the permanent collections of the world's largest design museum, as well as part of the furnishings of many homes of lovers and can choose the things surrounding them. The secret of Atollo probably lies in the geometric construction of its shapes: primarily a cone on a cylinder and a hemisphere.
