Product description
Inspired by the Opera Garnier, it is distinguished by its eclectic, decorative character, expressed in stylistic mixtures and extraordinary compositional balance. References to a certain baroque splendor are softened with more minimalist, contemporary accents, creating a delicate, harmonious dichotomy. The design challenge was to bring out the craftsmanship and heritage of the company, which has been a treasure trove of glass art for over seven centuries. The result of this creative effort is a timeless, elegant design, rich but not superfluous, with a direct, expressive personality. The main feature chosen by Nigro for the collection is rostrato. This complex craft technique, patented by Barovier&Toso, was invented by Ercole Barovier in 1938 and involves "freehand" shaping a Venetian crystal to produce a continuous series of multi-faceted prisms.
