Product description

Hyphen is a steel or porcelain LED table lamp available with a single or double head. Derived from the ancient Greek ὑφ' ἕν (huph' hén). Hyphen means the union of two opposites in one; warm, soft and sensitive porcelain and cold, strong and shiny steel. Each piece will be available in several materials and finishes, including chromatic black cast steel, black sandblasted cast iron and matte white porcelain. The standing Hyphen consists of one or two parts that can be arranged in many ways thanks to the support system that perfectly fits their shapes and has built-in touch dimmers for easy use. Like every d'Armes fixture, Hyphen was designed and manufactured in Morin-Heights, Quebec. Staying true to the practice's philosophy of working closely with specialized experts and skilled local craftsmen, the porcelain used in Hyphen is made in the same village by ceramic artist Gréta Jonckheere, who used her expertise to develop the collection. Each element of the collection is made individually using non-standard porcelain molds and treated with the utmost care, which includes several stages of production spread over several days.
