The archetype of the classic desk lamp of the 1940s and 1950s with an asymmetrical shade was usually realized in cool materials such as metal and glass. Christian Haas interprets this classic product in his Solid Wood Mold design. The designer limited the original shape as much as possible, without trivializing it, thus creating a unique silhouette. The asymmetry of the base and the domed lampshade, which consists of a total of six glued strips of solid wood, make the design look organic. The inherent warmth and sensuality of naturally growing material give the new setting a homely feel. The dimmer switch is precisely placed on the back of the lamp base and guarantees simple, intuitive operation. A large, slightly inclined lampshade with a frosted glass insert and an integrated, dimmable warm white LED ring provides a pleasantly intimate, glare-free light on the table surface, which facilitates focused work.
