Three lamps that talk about matter - this rough matter that brings us back to nature. Bases of local hammered stone accentuate matter even as light and shadow dance together in space. The shapes of crushed linen lamps take on carved and "monastic" shapes. A harmonious dialogue between three colors namely; Beiges, olives and pinks in vintage style are interrupted by cobalt blue that eludes predictability.
The shape of the lamp is made of crushed linen, based on marble embossed into bushes, height 73 - width 50 cm The "SIBYLLE" collection is the first collaboration between Studiopepe and Once Milano.
The mythical Sibyls of Greco-Roman antiquity, from which the name "SIBYLLE" comes, were believed to be endowed with sensitivity. Therefore, it was believed that they had the ability to probe the nooks and crannies of the material world using their senses. They were also said to be able to perceive the "subtle" world, that is, the world that remains hidden to most - a world that can only be contemplated with the eyes of the heart.
According to Studiopepe, "SIBYLLE" is a celebration of the senses perceived as valuable tools for examining and interpreting reality: “[celebrating] the sense of touch through textures that are at once rich and essential, like the hammered stone of lamps and embossed patterns; [celebrating] the sense of sight through the colors of an enveloping and deep palette that is itself an expression of the inner world; [celebrating] the sense of hearing through the light and seductive sound of crushed linen.”
