Product description

EGYPTIAN EYE is basically a light sculpture. Its peculiarity is immediately noticeable due to its lanceolate shape and the material used - black or white marble. From above, the 27 cm high and 24 cm wide lamp looks like an eye with a round lens placed in the center. Designer Günter Leuchtmann based this 1986 design on images and hieroglyphs of Egyptian civilization several thousand years ago. In ancient Egypt, the "eastern eye" was a figurative term for the solar disk of the sun gods, such as Re and Aten. It was considered a symbol protecting against all harm.
