Product description
slender base surrounds a bulbous form. An industrial motif softened by the delicate curves of hand-blown glass. The Oda series of table and floor lamps refers to the columnar forms of silos, furnaces and water towers from a bygone era. The warm glow brings this industrial aesthetic to a softer interior. The oda series consists of four sizes – small, medium, intermediate and large – and is available in various color combinations. Directly inspired by the industrial monuments photographed by the famous Becher school in Düsseldorf, Sebastian Herkner for ODA brings them together external shape and internal function of a steel foundry. The result is a glowing tribute to light that is a source of coziness and has since become a reference in contemporary lighting design. Each piece is made of colorful, hand-blown glass. Bubbles, streaks and other differences in size and color are part of the manufacturing process and not a design or manufacturing defect. The frame is made of steel; powder-coated, chrome-plated or brass.
