Product description

High Line is a floor lamp. Visually, it looks like a light sculpture, a slender line that emits light without revealing its source. This floor lamp by Josep Lluís Xuclà generates light indirectly through reflection and uniquely the light does not reflect from the ceiling but from the wall. Its designer wants the wall to reflect the emitted light. The wall is this lamp's greatest ally and they want to stay close. Formally, it is a volume and color composition. Three blocks distinguished by their shapes and shades: a vertical, light-transmitting element made of oak or wenge is attached to a block of varnished wood. Both rise above a black base that determines the optimal distance at which the lamp should be placed from the wall to generate the ideal light source. The severity of the shapes contrasts with the warmth of the wood and the depth of the colors.
