Product description

The Bd company was founded in 1972 as a manufacturer of contemporary furniture with a work that has now made design history: the FLAMINGO lamp by the Portuguese architect Siza Vieira. The current halogen version was introduced in 1985.
The uniqueness of FLAMINGO cannot be appreciated in photos or even in detailed design plans. What distinguishes it from other lamps is its use. Its extraordinary height, quality of light, neutrality and apparent fragility of the variable and detachable structure, mobility of the very delicate wings allow for unexpected applications. It can replace a candle during dinner, illuminate a picture or a bookend, enable reading in bed without disturbing a possible companion.
Detachable frame made of chrome-plated iron bars. Orientable light control blades in matt anodized aluminum. Built-in switch in the lamp group. Two-pin halogen bulb with a dichroic power of 50W.
