Product description

The island is an application with a minimalist shape, but giving a specific, poetic lighting effect. Its surface is animated by light rays emerging from the slots at the front of the structure. Lots of tiny holes in the folds of the sheet metal let light through. This is reflected in the small wings formed by the folded material. Surfaces multiply reflections and scatter light. This results in a different perception depending on your point of view, with a hidden or framed perforated area brightened by opal glass that hides the LED sources from view. Opal glass also closes the top and bottom, providing better light dispersion without glare. The idea came when I was looking at subway vents in New York. I want to design a lamp that combines the technology of vents with a motivational pattern. The result is a wall lamp showing a minimalist landscape with a distant island reflected in the water.
