Design fairs are usually conversation starters. It happened a few years ago in London... Frédéric Winkler from DCWéditions met French-Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian. Their stands stood face to face. But it wasn't a stalemate. On the contrary, they were united by camaraderie and optional affinity, including the desire to work together and, above all, get to know each other. Childhood, education, games and dreams... For Charles Kalpakian it was Lebanon and this paradoxical freedom to run and play in a city falling to pieces right after leaving school.
