Life as we know it revolves around the sun. Since the beginning of time, the stages of the Sun have shaped the way we interact with the world around us. The sky has become a mirror of human ancestors, linked to our well-being, emotional balance and daily activities. Crisp, light blue mornings followed by red, orange and purple sunsets make us feel energized and happy. On the other hand, a few days of gray, cloudy skies or months of short winter days and our mood begins to change. It doesn't take much to feel uneasy.
Add to this a modern lifestyle that is slowly pulling us away from the natural cycles of the Sun, as we move our activities indoors, confined spaces cut off our contact with the elements, and our longing for the natural benefits of the Sun has increased.
Created during the dark Lithuanian winters comes "Sunrise/Sunset", a lamp that places the colors of the Sun in the palm of your hand. Winner of the international exhibition Furniture 2012 in Vilnius and the Red Dot Design Concept Award in 2014, this interactive object gives the user the ability to select the appropriate color palette to match the desired mood effect depending on the time of day or personal preference, by gently moving the light source across colored panel. It brings the lively and refreshing coolness of bright mornings to your office or the warmth of cozy evenings to your living room.
