The Hotel Light series is an example of Hot Wire Extensions' bold, innovative manufacturing process. Hot Wire Extensions is a young sustainable design brand focused on materials exploration and experimental engineering. Hotel Light leverages Hot Wire Extensions' unique bone-like aesthetic and combines geometric shapes with natural curves.
The Hotel Light series was created using Hot Wire Extensions' innovative, recycled manufacturing process. The process begins by creating a shape using nichrome wire in a container. The container is then filled with Hot Wire Extensions' unique formula consisting of nylon powder and sand. Electric current is passed through the wire, causing the surrounding nylon to melt and grow around the mold, much like a vine grows around a tree. This unique manufacturing process means the objects are extremely durable and suitable for creating scalable and custom pieces.
