Ixa XL is a wall lamp available in gray, blue, yellow, red and anthracite. The Ixa head separates the electrical cable from the mechanism and is connected to the structure itself by a magnet that allows it to rotate freely so that its handy light can be projected in any direction. Ixa is an expression of functional, productive and balanced intelligence by limiting and simplifying choices. This is the result of solid design expertise. Artemida and Foster+Partners share a deep approach to sustainable design, which permeates product development at every stage and constitutes a significant value of the project. The IXA lamp has an inherent dynamic nature that allows it to adapt to a variety of light typologies, from task lighting to decorative and ambient compositions. Inspired by the sculptures of Alexander Calder, the design interprets the idea of "elegant balance" through precision engineering. Simpler versions, such as tabletop models, rely solely on the rotation of the head mounted on a fixed structure, ensuring freedom of movement. This solution is then applied to models with increasing degrees of movement complexity, up to solutions such as the floor model, which combine spherical counterweights and multiple points of rotation and tilt for maximum freedom and fluidity of light movement in space. Flexibility and functionality, quality and dynamics of light, minimal, soft lines combined with a classic, simple look make Ixa a timeless design. It can be reinterpreted in countless situations, ensuring a long service life, which is the basis for sustainable design.
