Product description
Pivot by Axolight is a new, revolutionary linear and modular ceiling and suspended lighting system, inspired by cooperation with the Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada.
In the ceiling version, each lamp body of the Pivot system is characterized by three interconnected supporting elements: a small cylinder resembling the shape of Japanese hishaku, containing an LED source and a lens, two rotating rings (each only 1.5 cm high) which, when stacked on top of each other, enable the interconnection of the individual source lights to two tubular metal conduits thanks to an inlet opening, thus creating a modular and linear system. The complete freedom of rotation of the two superimposed rings allows the system to create an infinite number of geometric shapes and deliver light where you want.
The pivot thus becomes a structural element of the space with which you can "play" and define the environment, both in terms of in terms of lighting and architecture.
In the standard version, each system can accommodate from two to ten light sources. Individual pipe runs will be 35, 65 and 100 cm long. The system, which can normally extend up to 10 meters, has been designed to be easily extended or shortened, so it can be adapted to individual projects.
The lighting fixtures have been designed to provide high visual comfort. The LED constant current source and its lens are housed in a cylinder in the cavity. Each light point is dimmable with a power of approximately 9 W (approximately 700 lumens). Standard lenses allow the light beam to reach an opening angle of 38 or 12 degrees. It will also be possible to modify light spots using lenses for additional light beams and LED sources with different color temperatures. The LED drivers are housed in a single ceiling rose and power the entire system.
Pivot can also be used as a suspension system: in fact, it has been designed and created to be compatible with four Axolight suspension collections: Jewel Mono by Studio Yonoh, Liaison by Sara Moroni, Urban mini by Dima Loginoff, Virtus by Manuel Vivian. Thanks to this, pendant lamps can be an alternative, in whole or in part, to individual ceiling points, bringing to life a lighting system with infinite possibilities of interpretation and matching the world of design.
White, black and gray are the colors of the three standard finishes of the Pivot collection. Ryosuke Fukusada, with his idea for Pivot, leads us towards the mathematical dimension of design and lighting.
The beauty of Pivot lies in the endless styling and lighting possibilities that can be created starting from a single point of light.
