Local production is the company's main commitment, because for this collection it works exclusively with suppliers from the Catalonia region. Luxcambra's goal is to maintain trustworthy relationships with local suppliers, as well as reduce its carbon footprint (by avoiding foreign imports and excess transportation). This sustainable process is the main core of the Luxcambra family values, which over the decades have been based mainly on craftsmanship and historical authenticity.
The lineal pendant lamp version consists of multiple handmade terracotta lampshades, with a black suspension cable and adjustable self-locking steel suspension cables. Each piece of pottery is unique and has imperfections due to craftsmanship. Handmade ceramic lampshades are very decorative and adapt to various styles (from country, Mediterranean to contemporary). This design allows for a durable, easy-to-clean lighting fixture that creates lighting effects by reflecting light from the inside of the lampshade. Working with natural ceramics has a positive impact on the environment, reduces water and air pollution and the use of toxic substances. By combining these elements, Luxcambra aims to provide quality at a relatively competitive price, for both hospitality and private projects.
This design can be combined in a variety of spaces, such as pendant lamps for high and low ceilings. Its unique presence, whether in the simple linear version or the new rectangular ones with symmetrical or asymmetric arms, expresses its flexibility in filling the space with a single lighting fixture. The versatility of the collection is demonstrated here through numerous combinations (both in terms of design and height), as the lamp can be installed, for example, in open public spaces, large corridors or above tables. The Absis collection pays homage to the traditional Catalan vault and one of the materials used in its construction: clay from the Vacamorta area in the Empordà region of Girona (Spain). With these handmade pieces, each one has its own identity. The terracotta lampshade combined with the iron structures gives the collection natural warmth, perfect for various types of spaces. Whether on or off, the uniqueness of the material, its finishes and shapes invite the user to touch the lamp and experience its natural quality.
