Solid waves, curves and sensuality. MERCURY, designed by Walter de Silva for PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING, envelopes the light with its enveloping volumes. A technical revolution on the hot side of light. The durable metal soul highlights a futuristic flavor that interprets the needs of the digital age. A thin outer shell, slender, seemingly delicate, hides within itself the most vivid reflections of light.
Solidity in terms of durability and statics as a metal balanced by the dynamics given by transient waves are the two concepts behind this new series. Light is energy, it is a wave, it is fleeting. Metal is static, durable and eternal. Design something ephemeral with a metal shape, which represents something made of solid material, which means capturing a moment, stopping a moment. Compact, sculptural and attractive: this new series enhances the beauty of the material's reflections.
LED pendant light for indoor use, consisting of:
- Luminaire head made of glass with a molded, wave-shaped designer cover and a machined cover made of molded plastic in the shape of a drop.
- Hanging tube made of metal and suspended by a cable on one side
- Fluid forms create a dynamically vivid sculptural effect that remains suspended in time.
The fixture is available with various light optics:
- Light optics made of highly transparent, glossy glass with white ceramic edge (WHITE TR) and integrated microprism ensuring effective light scattering, minimizing glare and excellent uniformity
- Light optics made of highly transparent , glossy glass with black ceramic edge (BLACK TR) and integrated microprism ensuring effective light dispersion, minimization of glare and excellent uniformity
- Light optics made of partially mirrored, glossy black glass with black ceramic edge (BLACK DRK) and integrated microprism ensure effective light dispersion, minimizing glare and excellent uniformity
- Direct light distribution
- Sidelight LED technology ensuring uniform light distribution over the entire surface of the cover
- Color rendering index Ra > 80
- Color tolerance according to MacAdam ≤ 3 SDCM
