Capturing the delicacy and fleeting essence of thistle down, this sensual work shines an organic form and reimagines it using precious materials in 16 limited edition pieces. Boasting an impressive 6-foot diameter while imparting an unexpected lightness, its suspended, shimmering silhouette houses 350 meters of slim, gold-toned chains, delicately held together by a structural core of solid brass plated with 24K gold. Specially designed lighting mechanics, enclosed in a cylindrical base and a central hand-blown glass sphere, gently illuminate the radiating chains intermittently and gracefully, enabling a subtle play of shadow and light. A heavenly piece evoking poetry in perfect form, it is entirely handmade and assembled with the utmost care and attention to detail. Each unique piece requires exhaustive work by the skilled hands of master craftsmen for approximately 80 hours, and ultimately each unique piece is completed with warm kelvin light reminiscent of a candle.
