Babel is literally the actual name of this lamp. Despite its shape being inspired by the famous ancient tower, it definitely reflects my collaboration with Vertigo Bird. Neither the difference in languages, the distance between us, the Flicker Book Skype sessions or the former prison hotel where I stayed for the first meeting could stop us from achieving our task (goal). This lamp is the culmination of a shared vision and the pursuit of the highest quality.
If it were easy, it wouldn't be worth it... and how funny!
The setting was inspired by the biblical story of the Tower of Babel. Moreover, the setting resembles the Tower of Babel; you can rotate each lampshade, and when you do this, the shape and angle of the light will change. Moreover, it is possible to change the lighting angle from the side or from the zero position. It rotates very smoothly with one touch, no motor inside.
The full range of hanging lamps (three sizes with a diameter of 35/50/70cm) is available in black, washable textile material. The light source is E27/18W compact fluorescent lamps.
Babel is suitable for any type of space. Whether you're illuminating the floor or walls, its variable geometry design allows for an infinite number of shapes and orientations of light from the same source. This exceptional versatility and three different sizes make it an ideal product for hospitality and home projects.
