Material: aluminum The magic of these stunning, elegant lamps is simplicity. The lamp creates a minimalist narrow beam of light and two graphic lines: one rigid, the other curved. The design goal of the Slim lamp was to combine a standard fluorescent lamp with a ballast module into one object. The ballast module is housed in a bottle-like extension of a metal tube that is laser cut to ensure optimal light emission. The result is a lamp with a monolithic and dignified appearance with an extremely slim housing.
Slim can be used as a wall lamp with vertical suspension, a free-standing lamp or a standard horizontal office lamp. The direction of the light beam can be adjusted manually. The lamp shade can be adjusted within 20 degrees.
The vertical hanging lamp does not require a power connection on the ceiling because it is powered from a wall socket. The Slim lamp can be used in the home, office or public space.
The Slim horizontal hanging lamp won the Red Dot Product Design Award 2009.
