Material: acrylic Two shells are connected, creating a boundary between dark and light, shadow and diffuser. They are fastened with three Velcro straps, thanks to which the edges of the shell are free from metal connections. When the lamp is turned on, the inner white cover diffuses a soft, comfortable light, and the indirect light emitted from above gives the impression that the lamp is floating from the ceiling. The contrast of the black ABS on the outside and the opal white acrylic on the inside is striking even with the light off.
The three components - the shade, diffuser and Velcro bands - provide clear and visible design elements that make the lamp easy to maintain. No instructions are required to replace the bulb. Standard versions include a 60 W fluorescent lamp or dual 60 and 55 W fluorescent lamps providing additional lighting, enabling the Borderline to be used in a variety of spaces.
The Borderline lamp family includes floor, hanging and ceiling versions.
