Product description

“We didn't make a lamp, we made a ceiling.” With these words, Miguel Arruda introduces his work with Slamp. The modular system began with symbolism, which he applied to sculpture in 1980; Slamp's R&D team transformed it, creating complex and interconnectable one-meter-long hexagonal sections that can be freely combined to fill the space with floating landscapes. Nuvem is a "ceiling" illuminated by two-way reflectors (GU10). Both modules and spots are available in white or velvet and can be used in a monochromatic structure or combined to create more striking installations.
Infinite expansion possibilities in every direction
One meter long hexagonal elements can be easily connected by hand using a series of interlocking tabs that allow for unrestricted omni-directional installation. The modules facilitate the adaptive and variable personalization of private and contract spaces, adding a strong artistic note to each.‎
Adjustable height
Not only is Nuvem equipped with cables up to 6 m long, but once hung you can change the appearance of the installation using "push and pull" system located under each decorative module. By pulling or releasing the individual wires, the lamp stretches or expands, taking on a life of its own, becoming a "floating" ceiling.‎
Customized reflectors
The Nuvem lighting system is a series of bi-directional reflectors (one per square meter), which can be placed above or below (threaded through the module holes). Additional spotlights can be purchased separately for compositions requiring enhanced lighting.‎
From lamp to vertical decoration
Weightlessness and freedom… just like a cloud.‎ Nuvem goes beyond traditional lighting, offering an agile anatomy that allows you to transform architectural elements space, running along the ceiling and sliding along the walls, creating an endless sky.‎
