Pad System is the result of research on office lighting, which defines a new way of producing light, in which the main values are the quality of functionality and comfort. Thanks to LG's innovative, patented ALEF (Advanced Light Emitting Film) technology, the Pad System disrupts traditional optical approaches (based on reflectors and refractors) used in work environments, which allow for control of light emission, but at the same time result in a uniform appearance of the output surface of the device . Thanks to ALEF, a patent for TV screen backlighting systems, the PadSystem appears as a perfectly uniform lighting surface, capable of controlling emissions by more than 60° relative to the device's normal emissions, while ensuring high uniformity, low luminance levels and a UGR below 19, in compliance with regulations UNI 12464 (luminance at 65°<3000 cd/m2 – average UGR < 19). The body of the device has a very thin aluminum edge (90x20mm), which makes the Pad System one of the world's thinnest technical office lighting systems. Flexibility is provided by connectors that allow for many modular configurations.
