Ecophon Edge 500 is a system used as a free-hanging unit in applications where wall-to-wall ceiling installation is not possible or desirable, but good sound absorption is nevertheless required. Such applications take place, for example, in a certain area in a larger room or in the case of concrete cooling or ventilation systems that do not allow full coverage of the ceiling. The system consists of the Connect Edge 500 profile, the Connect Edge 500 corner and additional Connect accessories, which together create a well-designed perimeter strip. The profile is made of extruded aluminum, and the corners are made of cast zinc. Both have a white textured powder coating that matches the surface of the Akutex™ FT White Frost tiles. Edge and corner profiles can be installed with Ecophon Focus Ds, Dg and E systems in modular rectangles. Ecophon Edge 500 has a design registration system (Registered Community Design) that complements Focus products with design solutions for end pieces, friezes and transitions between levels, giving the ceiling an integrated look that enhances its aesthetics. Focus Frieze is a simple and economical way to provide a standardized transition between ceiling, frieze and wall. The product range allows for both abrupt and gradual level changes. There are also standardized lighting solutions. End pieces with the same finish as the rest of the ceiling create an integrated look.
