Product description

Stablight lamps are produced using a very traditional, artistic hand-blowing technology. This involves blowing into wooden molds by hand. The forms are also made by hand, from hard and wet wood. Glass masters use a glass blowing tube as their primary instrument, collecting several layers of different colored glass, and by mouth blowing and shaping with hand tools, they prepare a shape very close to that of the mold. In the final stage, glass masters place the pre-shaped hot glass into the mold and finish the piece to its final shape, which is given by the exact shape of the mold. After the hotshop production phase, the vases are finished in the cutting room, where additional parts are cut out and the surface is polished to a high gloss. This production process is based on the extraordinary skills of glass masters who pass on their experience from generation to generation.
