Product description

Chlorophyllia, presented in 2015, defines an optical and compositional principle that can be repeated by multiplying elements, creating compositions that unfold in space on multiple levels or expand in length. Chlorophilia 2 doubles the transparent surface on two levels, further emphasizing the picturesque presence of this suspension. Chlorophilia is a new project by Ross Lovegrove that once again highlights Artemida's skill in the lightweight body light engine through his distinctive approach to organic and fluid forms. It is an extremely picturesque and at the same time light hanging device that, when turned on, reveals a contrast of delicate shades that harmonize with the space and complement it. Its body contains a COB diode acting as a heat sink, as well as light phytomorphic elements made of molded technopolymer that combine a gently wavy texture with an uneven cross-section acting as an optical lens. The suspended central body emits indirect light, which is filtered and refracted by three transparent surfaces whose natural shape refers to natural elements, leaves. These three elements are arranged in the form of a sunburst and partially superimposed on each other to multiply the shadow contrast, thus creating a scenic effect on the ceiling, but combined with appropriate ambient lighting. Chlorophyllia defines an optical and structural principle that can be reproduced by multiplying its elements, creating compositions that unfold on many levels in space or whose width is expanded.
