Tonda is a hanging lamp that plays with the force of gravity and fascinates with a seemingly illogical state of balance: the bracket is moved, and yet it supports the sphere thanks to the counterweight of a colorful and bent metal tube. It is gravity questioned, denied and ultimately explained through a design gesture as light as a game, but at the same time as rigorous as a theorem. Stylistically, Tonda is born in the present, but evokes the past in an elegant reinterpretation of the Italian design experience of the 1960s and 1970s. A luminous sculpture that is never the same, even in terms of the quality of the light emitted by the blown diffuser and shaded (from white up to transparent down). Light guided by the sensitive craftsmanship of man, not the cold precision of a machine. Winner of Interior Design magazine's 2022 Best of Year award in the pendant category, Tonda is a sculptural centerpiece designed to dialogue with contemporary interiors. Available in two sizes, it is characterized by a metal structure in white, orange or titanium with a sinuous and geometric development that embraces and houses a diffuser ball made of blown opal glass, resting freely on the frame.
