The large black vertical structure is the main shaft from which multiple rods emerge; some can be moved up to expand the light and others down to focus it. All bars have a suspended reflector that casts light downwards or in a large, sharp beam. Cylindrical reflectors - with an ivory, terracotta or gold inner ring - distribute the light evenly.
With an extremely graphic profile that can be easily outlined, this decorative lamp takes its inspiration from the old-fashioned winding machine: used to wind thread or wire around the axis and forming a ball. Designers Pedro Ochando and Claudia Pérez are not interested in the function of the machine, rather in its shape, which allows vertical movement with a horizontal effect.
A light, subdued and functional design with excellent presence that can change shape by opening and extending a light diameter up to 2 meters for large spaces or foldable to a diameter of 1.2 meters to focus on a smaller area. Designers say that when we stand under an open lamp, we feel like we are standing under a luminous dome.
