Description

Neri&Hu's work is based on constant research and a desire to work on the dynamic interaction of experience, detail, material, shape and light rather than conforming to stereotypical formulas. Combining tradition and innovation, Yanzi* is a light composition of graphic signs. Balanced structures, such as branches or perches, support multiple stylized characters, providing a variety of versions and qualities of light. They are iconic swallows with a body made of brushed brass, with a head resembling a white glass ball enclosing the light, flying freely or enclosed in glass cages. The unique sensibility lies in the combination of warm and cold, essential yet refined materials. Yanzi is an open system, ideal for creating light compositions and lightscapes that enliven any space with an elegant poetic attitude.
