Inspired by Andre Brik

André Brik was born as an outsider in 1972 in the conservative city of Curitiba, Brazil.

Architect, illustrator and art director, studied typography and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts and the Parsons School of Design - NY.

In his works you can find several graphic styles of non-fiction posters from the 1920s and Polish posters, with their clean lines and flat, contrasting background colors, visual puns, wit and subtle irony. There is also nonsense, humor, counterculture, surrealism, dadaism and punk rock.

Ideas arise from observing the colors and shapes of everyday objects. The artist then begins a long process of sketching, deconstructing and reconnecting elements, colors and meanings. Finally, a careful selection of emerging ideas is selected, which are digitally worked out, painted and finished as a graphic illustration.
