Inspired by Scarlet Splendour

Ashish Bajoria and Suman Kanodia founded Scarlet Splendor in 2014. The siblings grew up in Calcutta, India with a deep appreciation for aesthetics. They combined a common passion for design, creating Scarlet Splendor, with the goal of integrating their maximalist sensibility and probably becoming the first design editors in India.

They decided to create pioneering furniture, lighting, and carpets bordering on classic and modern, whimsical and serious, functional and dramatic. Scarlet Splendor has worked with international stores, news agencies, artists and designers to transform and take local craftsmanship to a global level. The company heralds a blend of cultures and crosses geographic boundaries to achieve the extraordinary in the world of design.

Scarlet Splendor was presented at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during Milan Design Week 2015. Their debut collections were born from the genius of Matteo Cibica from Vicenza in Italy. It won the 2017 Elle Decor International Design Award in the Young Talent category.

In addition to Matteo Cibic's designs, Scarlet Splendor's portfolio includes a range of works by Dario Contessotto, Mirco Colussi and Niki Zupanc - who has been dubbed a "real star" by The Wall Street Journal.

Since Milan 2015 and subsequent exhibitions, Scarlet Splendor has strengthened cooperation with internationally recognized designers, the most recent being Artefatto Design Studio in London.

In 2018 Scarlet Splendor took part in Salone del Mobile. Milano, a milestone not only in the company's young history, but also in the history of the global presence of the Indian design fraternity.
