File Under Pop Lava is mined from the active volcano Etna in Sicily at a depth of 20-30 meters where the rock was compacted 2-3,000 years ago. The lava stone is then glazed, hand-decorated and transformed into pottery for hours by kiln-firing, resulting in a very durable tile and a unique finish that shows off the material's natural beauty.
