Inspired by Zucchetti
The history of Zucchetti began in 1929 in Valduggi, near Vercelli (near Turin), where the ancestor of Alfredo Zucchetti founded a small foundry. After World War II, his sons Mario and Luciano decided to focus on the production of bathroom faucets. Thanks to their entrepreneurial skills, the company experienced rapid growth that has moved it to four state-of-the-art production facilities covering an area of 72,000 square meters and 400 employees. The key moment in the happy development of Zucchetti came in the 1970s, when the company established appropriate cooperation with famous designers, with the intention of offering a design product that appreciates not only its functionality, but also its ideal and artistic value. Names such as Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, Matteo Thun, and William Sawaya, to name but a few, helped shape the brand's remarkable aesthetic identity, while cutting-edge technology and artisanal quality of products secured the company's place to the Global Industry Summit. This success is evidenced by numerous awards received over the years, in particular those on the occasion of the Good Design Award, Design Plus, as well as numerous nominations for ADI and Elle Decoration Awards.
In 2007, Zucchetti took over the KOS brand, specializing in in the production of high-quality bathtubs and shower cubicles, which completed and further strengthened Zucchetti's presence in the market. As of 2019, both brands exist as one within the Zucchetti Group, under the artistic direction of Matteo Fiorini Studio. Constantly innovating, able to interpret market needs, Zucchetti offers a complete catalog with two lines for private use, Waterwords and Lab, and a Professional line, dedicated to professional users and the contract sector.
Functionality and design of Zucchetti TapsCoral by Zucchetti is the Waterwords line where the spirit of the past and modern taste find a perfect balance. The Savoir collection of faucets for washbasins, bathtubs and showers is a unique design where finishes and decorative solutions allow you to choose between different colors: black and white for a minimalist effect
Chrome in combination with burgundy, dark blue or green shades of bottles for a more classic effect. The Pan collection includes basin and bath mixers with a linear and light design, making the offer versatile thanks to an exceptionally wide range. The Pan + version includes components that can be assembled modularly many times to create individual solutions designed to best suit the needs of customers. Designed by Diego Grandi and awarded with the Good Design Award 2017 and the Red Dot Award 2018, the Closer overhead shower is one of the icons of the Zucchetti catalog. Today, the Closer collection includes various versions of overhead showers and a range of basin and bathtub faucets. Delfi complements the Waterwords collection with noble materials and soft, rounded shapes that are not closed off by modern industrial technologies. This project, signed by Marianelli Design, has already attracted the interest of thousands of followers, which has resulted in extraordinary sales results for the company.
The LAB line consists of collections characterized by strict shapes, efficiency and the use of state-of-the-art technologies. Simple but never trivial, LAB products represent the "popular" line in the Zucchetti catalog, able to combine availability and design quality. An example is the Brim collection signed by Ludovic + Roberto Palomba, awarded the Good Design Award 2019 and certified according to the strictest international rules
in addition, the Simply Beautiful collection designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, characterized by short, sharp and precise sign.
Additions 2020 to the Zucchetti catalog Many new products launched in 2020 show an increasing emphasis on minimalist aesthetics and design at the highest level. And it could not be otherwise, if we look at the signatures of these projects. Born from the intuition of Alberto and Francesco Meda, the Medameda collection is characterized by organic and flowing lines that shape taps and rosettes with a traditional yet contemporary flavor. The collection includes fittings for bidets and washbasins as well as for single-lever mixers, single-lever and three-hole washbasins with separate rosettes, standing or wall-mounted fittings, faucets and fittings with individual rosettes for showers and bathtubs. They are manufactured from low lead brass and finished in chrome, nickel and brushed nickel, gold and brushed gold, black metal, black brushed metal or embossed opaque black.
Designed by David Lopez Quincoces' helmet collection is absolutely the first one that Zucchetti has made entirely of stainless steel. The extraordinary simplicity of the spout with the umbrella-shaped tube collides with the more refined form of the rosettes, with their white cylindrical base and a smaller cylinder based on it, on which are mounted cross-shaped handles. The Helm collection is completed by a faucet version with rosettes, equipped with a handle and a single-lever monoblock. Finishes available for this model are brushed stainless steel, champagne, total black, chocolate. There are also other special cylinder finishes on the bottom of the rosettes to choose from, such as: B. parallel, vertical or cross stripes. The flagship product of the LAB line is definitely the Gill collection of single-lever mixers, intended for both private and contractual use. The Gill has a clean and minimalist design, softened by the suggested curves of the various cylindrical elements that make up the faucet. The collection includes surface-mounted and wall-mounted faucets for washbasins, external bath and shower faucets, bidet faucets, wall drains, built-in bath and shower faucets and their shower heads.
