Iperwood was born in 2002 from ten years of experience in the design of bioengineering work, accumulated in a company specializing in marine works and leading in the port market.

Activities in this area include both canal and river bank protection as well as marine and urban works.

To carry out such works, Iperwood has always used exotic wood species of high quality and durability as construction materials, which in fact have excellent physical and mechanical properties, combining functionality and aesthetics in perfect harmony with the environment.

Iperwood also deals with the design of works with the use of wood and the supply of materials suitable for their implementation.

Since 2005, Novowood is a brand under which Iperwood Srl demonstrates respect for the environment and care for environmentally friendly technologies In cooperation with the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ferrara, we have developed a product with much higher parameters than comparable materials on the market in terms of aesthetics, durability, mechanical strength and, finally, because it does not contain impurities such as PVC. Novowood is a composite material that replaces wood and consists of 70% recycled wood and 30% high-density polyethylene (HDPE), also recycled. Novowood is a 100% recyclable product as it can be fully regenerated at the end of its life cycle. The reasons given in our research for a deeper understanding of this material were mainly related to the need and the need to provide a product with a long service life even in very aggressive conditions such as marine environments or those exposed to constant and direct sunlight. Novowood is maintenance-free, stable (does not deform over time), does not chip or fade, is resistant to sun, ice and rain, is fireproof, resistant to termites, insects and fungi, behaves like real wood.
