Inspired by La Cividina

La Cividina was born in 1976, when Carlo Bulfoni, a craftsman with extensive experience in the upholstered furniture industry, decided to open his own workshop in Martignancco, Udine province. From the outset, the company has followed the values of "Made in Italy", using only Italian materials and producing locally in a district known for its excellent upholstered furniture. In 2018, this approach brought La Cividina a certificate of Italian origin to the world, awarded for the first time to a company in the sector. Specializing in equipping public institutions, La Cividina has become an important brand in the contract sector in just a few years. Made by experienced, skilled craftsmen, the brand's sofas and armchairs are characterized by noble materials, attention to detail, attractive design and excellent comfort. La Cividina creations adorn prestigious interiors such as the lounges at Linate, Nice and Singapore airports, Dropbox offices in Tel Aviv and the George Palace lobby in Sydney, to name just a few from the contract sector and in some cases also to furnish your home a prominent place in the rich and a diverse catalog of La Cividina. The Suiseki sofa was selected from 700 international designs and won the Inspirowane.eu Design Awards 2019. Inspired by the Japanese art of paving stones, designer Andrea Steidl designed a system of deconstructed cube and parallelepiped seats that create sculptural sofas with a striking aesthetic form. The Nap modular sofa, also by Andrea Steidl, evokes rest and relaxation by reinterpreting the shape of a giant pillow. One of the most distinctive features of Nap is the tubular stitching that defines the seat and under the armrests.

The Guest Antonio Rodriguez Collection includes 23 pieces of different shapes and sizes for countless configurations. Each piece has such a strong personality that it can be used on its own. Smooth, elegant lines give the chair lightness despite its size. Designed by Constance Guisset, Waves is an elegant sea-inspired collection characterized by organic shapes that create artistic compositions. The shape of the lounge bench, with or without a backrest, resembles waves, and the elongated poufs resemble flower petals. The collection is complemented by a series of wooden coffee tables with USB sockets. The velor sofa by Antonio Rodriguez was awarded the Inspirowane.eu Design Award 2017. It consists of at least 63 elements that can be combined in a variety of ways, including face-to-face configurations. In addition to sofas and armchairs, the Velor collection includes a range of chairs and bar stools that offer versatile solutions for contract and high-traffic areas. The Pinch sofa designed by Skrivo Design was presented at the XXV. Compasso D'Oro, honored in the Inspirowane.eu Design Awards in 2016 and Iconic Awards Interior Innovation in 2017. The high, hugging backrest creates an oasis of peace and privacy, and the minimalist and innovative design makes Pinch the perfect solution for any public space. The suggestive name of the Soave collection refers to the light and harmonious shapes invented by the designer Sebastian Herkner

the asymmetrical Soave sofa with a coffee table won the Inspirowane.eu Design Awards 2018 competition in the Contract category.
The Filinea Armchair by Antonio Sciortino is one of the newest items in the La Cividina catalog, but has already made waves. Made of a steel bar just a few millimeters thick, Filinea has a futuristic design inspired by Euphorbia tirucalli, a plant widespread in southern Italy. This complex project is a test of virtuosity and technical skills. The Osaka line proposes a revolutionary seating system created by Pierre Paulin in 1967 and presented at the Osaka International Expo. Conceived as a seat for public spaces, Osaka consists of three parallelepipeds of different heights that form the backrest and the seat. The elements are available in a variety of curved shapes, radii and patterns, creating countless compositions and sizes. Finally, La Cividina has re-launched a design classic, the modular Dos à Dos Louvre sofa, designed by Pierre Paulin in 1967 to equip the galleries of the famous museum. Simple, effective design combined with ergonomics and modularity make this armchair a classic that meets the needs of modern society.
