Inspired by Dickson

The origins of Dickson Constant SAS, a French manufacturer of technical textiles, date back to 1836, when the Scot David Dickson opened the first French linen factory in northern France. As early as 1909, Dickson became a tent supplier for the French national defense. In 1945, Dickson introduced the first fabrics made of synthetic fibers that offered increased durability.

In 1969, the Dickson mill merged with the Eugène Constant weaving mill, which operated in Lille from 1913. In 1998, Dickson joined the American group Glen Raven, a national and international leader in the field of outdoor fabrics. In 2008, Dickson launched the first prototype photovoltaic fabric.

Today, Dickson is considered the benchmark for high-quality outdoor fabrics. The products are sold under the two brands DICKSON® and SUNBRELLA®. Due to its focus on innovation, Dickson offers solutions for a variety of markets: sun protection, outdoor living, interior decoration and marine equipment. The products are sold in over 100 countries around the world.
