History of the Poltrona Frau brand The Poltrona Frau company was founded in Turin in 1912 by Renzo Frau, who inspired with furniture in the French and Central European style. In the mid-1970s, Poltrona Frau opened a series of single-brand showrooms in Rome, Bari and Turin.
In the next decade, two new divisions were created: Frau Car, with Thema 8:32 Thema interior design driven by Ferrari and Contract department, with equipment the former church of San Gregoriuccio in the synagogue of Spoleto, which became Sala Frau.
